LEAD VOCALS

As a young girl, Kim used to sing and dance in her living room to a dance video. When she got a little older, along with her friend Tamara, she joined the school choir and sang in school assemblies and Christmas shows. She enjoyed performing, even at Primary School – “I loved the attention” she admits!

Then one day, the head teacher at her primary school asked her, Tamara and some other pupils to get together with him and play in a band. She agreed straight away and they started playing gigs at other schools. In the 4 years she was in The Yellow & Blues Band, they entered competitions, played at weddings, pubs, concerts and festivals in Goole, Bristol, Wales, Colne and even Italy. Kim loved being in the band, and is the first to admit she achieved things most people will never do.

When the band split up, Kim was approached by James about forming a new band and not long after NYK was formed, along with Tamara, Joe and drummer Tom. After finishing 4 th in The Battle Of The Bands, a 6 th member, Scott joined, and now Kim admits their music sounds a lot better and more professional.
